Bring Your Own Test

Part of the process of Floré is to analyze your gut composition and record which microbes your body has in both ample and deficient supply. Based on that data, in conjunction with your personal health and diet survey answers and the growing understanding of the microbiome, our scientific team designs a probiotic and prebiotic mix (synbiotic) to support your gut microbiome becoming stronger and healthier.

According to the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP), probiotics are “live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.”

While probiotics have been commonly sold as dietary supplements for decades, not all probiotics are created equal.

Floré creates personalized and customized probiotics backed by science and using quality ingredients to meet your specific needs.

Potential side effects are symptoms associated with die-off, constipation, diarrhea, or discomfort during the first 2-3 weeks of adjusting to a new probiotic. These symptoms could be mild and tolerable for some cases and subside after 2-3 weeks. Some people are unable to tolerate a higher dose and we recommend taking a fewer number of formulations at a time.

We offer capsules and powder form. Capsules are ideal for adults and older children who can swallow pills since they are coated to survive the stomach acid. Powder is mixed with a liquid or soft food and is reserved for infants, children, or adults who can not swallow capsules.

Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) (or Next Generation Sequencing [NGS]) gives us the highest resolution picture of your gut microbiome, helping us to not only identify the microbes present in your microbiome down to the species and strain level, but also see their relative abundances compared to each other. We use this data, along with the goals and other information outlined in your Health Survey, to formulate your Floré Personalized Probiotics.

All customers are different in how they plan to manage their microbiome. Some customers feel a different in as short a time frame as the first week of low dose. Others may have to wait 3 weeks to feel a difference. After at least 6 months of taking Floré, we encourage a retest to see how your microbiome has changed on Floré and to provide the formulations team with new data to take into consideration for your next custom formulation.

You do not need to change your current routine. In fact, we prefer you continue your current supplement regimen. However, please wait at least 14 days after finishing any antibiotics and do not consume alcohol for 24 hours before testing. Both may skew your microbiome data.
