Information We Collect
When you use our website, quizzes, customer portal or app, or another Flore Inc. platform, we collect:
- Contact and account details: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and account login.
- Orders: what you buy and your order history. Card details are handled by our payment processors.
- Health information: quiz answers, results, microbiome test results, personalized formula details, and health information you enter in the portal or app. See the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
- Your choices: the consents you give or decline, with the date and the wording you saw.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Messages you send us, including through our online concierge.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to process orders and subscriptions, run quizzes and show results, deliver tests, formulas and programs, operate the portal and app, respond to you, send marketing emails and texts if you opted in, measure and improve our website and advertising, keep our services secure, and meet legal obligations. We use health information only as described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
How We Share Personal Information
We may share some of your personal information with our business partners or entities that perform services on our behalf. In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use and disclose your personal information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies for the information we are required to provide to them for your online transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in, or have facilities that are located in, a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, your personal information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
We may disclose your personal information where we believe necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this online privacy policy or our website's Terms of Service.
We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising on our site to understand visits and measure our ads.
Quiz pages. We never send your quiz answers or results to advertising or analytics companies. On the gut-brain quiz, Microsoft Advertising and Google receive the page view when you open the page, as on every page of our site, and they receive the quiz steps you reach and your sign-up only if you tick the optional sharing box. On the peptides quiz, Microsoft Advertising receives the page view, quiz steps and sign-up only if you choose "Share". Details are in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Advertising and Marketing Audiences
We work with advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), Google, Microsoft (Microsoft Advertising, including Bing), Reddit, and OpenAI, and with other advertising platforms we may use from time to time, to measure the performance of our advertising and to reach people who may be interested in Flore Inc. To do this, we may share a limited set of identifiers with these partners, such as your email address and phone number, in a hashed (cryptographically obscured) form. Partners use these hashed identifiers to match you to accounts you already have on their platforms. This lets us build, target, and measure marketing audiences (for example, customer-list audiences, and lookalike or similar audiences of people who share characteristics with our customers), and avoid showing ads to people who have already purchased. Partners also process these identifiers under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not share your quiz answers, quiz results, or your health, microbiome, test or formulation information with advertising partners. Quiz page activity is shared only as described under "How We Share Personal Information" above. You can opt out of this sharing at any time; see "Your Privacy Choices: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" below.
Email marketing (if applicable): We may send you emails about our online store, new products and other updates.
Our Relationship with Shopify, Inc.
Our online store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. In providing information in our online store, you may be also providing that information to Shopify. Information collected by Shopify is subject to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We may also share information with Shopify for the purpose of providing you with our products and services.
Your Privacy Rights
Wherever you live in the U.S., you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information and give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your personal information. You may also withdraw any consent you gave. Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request", or write to the address below. We confirm your identity by sending a code to your email or phone on file. You may use an authorized agent. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by 45 days if needed. If we decline, you may appeal by replying "Appeal", and we will answer within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can also update your details in your account profile at any time.

When you click on links on our online store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Protection of Personal Information
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
If there is a breach of security involving your health information, we will notify you and the regulators who must be told, within the time limits the law sets.
Our Use of Cookies and Similar Tools
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to run the store (for example, your cart and session), to measure visits (Google Analytics), and for advertising (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising). Our Cookie Policy explains them and how to turn them off. Your browser may permit you to disable some or all cookies, but doing so may affect your experience on our website.
Our website does not respond differently or limit our practices set forth under this online privacy policy when you access the website with a browser that uses a "do not track" signal or similar mechanism.
Family Profiles and Information About Others
The Flore mobile app lets an account holder create additional profiles for members of their household, including children, and record wellness information (such as daily check-ins and notes) about them. This information is entered by the account holder, not by the family member, and is stored under the account holder's account. We do not collect a date of birth or age for these profiles. The account holder is responsible for having the authority to provide this information. An account holder can view, export, or delete these profiles and their associated information at any time from the app's Account screen, or by contacting us at [email protected].
Use of Our Site by Minors
By using this website, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and that you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
Our quizzes are for adults. A parent or guardian may answer the gut-brain quiz about their child. We do not intend to invite children to visit our website and we do not knowingly collect or retain personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). For more information on the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), please visit the Federal Trade Commission website at www.ftc.gov.
Updates to this Online Privacy Policy
We may change this online privacy policy. Any revised version will be posted on the website with a new effective date. If we make material changes, we will say so here. Where the law requires your consent before we use information we already hold in a new way, including health information, we will ask for it first.
If all or a portion of our business is acquired by another entity, your personal information may be transferred to one or more other entities.
Your Privacy Choices: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Some privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), may treat our sharing of hashed identifiers with advertising partners for audience matching, and the advertising cookies on our site, as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. If you are a California resident, or a resident of another state with similar rights, you have the right to opt out. To opt out, or to submit a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request, email [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and the email address and/or phone number you would like us to exclude. We will process your request and remove your identifiers from our advertising audiences. You may submit access and deletion requests to the same address.
